Quick valve spring question

Ok this should be an easy one for most of you. I have a billet roller camshaft I picked up used but in good shape with a cam card. The cam card makes no mention of what kind of valve springs I should be running. Cam specs as follows:

262/266@.050, .665/.625 lift w/ 1.5's (which is what will be run), 105.7 LSA. The cylinder heads I will be running are the Dart 220 race series head with a 1.55 OD spring pocket.

What would you guys recommend for spring pressure, both on the seat and open for a camshaft like this? Think the comp 943's would work well?

Thanks

Re: Quick valve spring question

~200-220 on the seat and ~500-550 open. I think the 943 would be a bit more than you need. But if the rest of the valetrain is up to, fine.

Re: Quick valve spring question

ive actually got the Isky and Comp catalogs right in front of me as im looking for springs for my car while browsing here.If youre still monitoring this thread and need specific specs of any kind ill keep an eye out for the next 2 or so hrs.
Once you get into the larger rates,my personal preference is Isky,as ive had a couple roller sets that were beat all to hell and kept great #s.Both the old chrome silicon and H-11 steels.Heard the Tool Room line was bitchin, but no pers. use yet.

Re: Quick valve spring question

Thanks for the offer stealth but I think I found my valve springs. They are a new product from Lunati, an entry level spring with part number 73367. The price is definitely right- specs are:

Installed height: 1.950
Seat: 210 lbs
Open: 550 lbs

These are very similar to what you recommended Rich, thanks for the suggestion. Those specs are almost exactly like the Isky 9365's, which are what came on Dart 220's from Dart when you bought them assembled.

I will check these springs out and let you guys know what I think of them.
