PTV clearance with adding 1.6RR
PTV clearance with adding 1.6RR
Ok..Im thinking about changing to 1.6rr from my 1.52's... the motor is already in the car and Im needing to know if I am going to run into PTV clearance with my current setup? I dont really want to have to remove the heads to find out.
Cylinder Head= 65
Piston=7
gaskets thickness=.041
gasket bore=4.166
cylinder bore=4.030
deck=0
stroke=3.750
Supposedly my current setup is netting me a CR of 10:661 to 1 with a dynamic of 8.883
Im hoping your tech guys may be about to help me out....also what will the benifts be for me jumping to 1.6's with my current cam which is 226/232 531/537@50 113.5LSA
do you need to know anything more about the cam or the motor to help me see if I am going to have a PTV clearnace issue?
thanks

If ya didn't check your P.V clearance when assembling ya don't know what ya got now or what you will have with any changes. The only way you are going to know is try it and if it don't blow "it worked"
Or ya could tear it down and measure it to be sure.
That may be to easy though.

no way to know unless you measured before you built it the first time.
Dont measure and it will either blow or it will go.
the benifit of a higher ratio is more lift and more lift means more air. Add more fuel with the more air and you have more power.
