Polished or Semi Poilshed?

On heads which is better to have the heads slick as ice or to have them slightly textured? Ive heard that there should be a lil bit of turbulance what is the advanced look on this? I know you dont want backwards turbalance where it goes back up in the intake and things like that. But what bout the bowls and ports?

Intake needs some turbulance. Very smooth but not polished. Exhaust can be as shiny as a mirror if you can get it that far.

Wow good stuff guys. So you want the bowl as slick as possible, the intake port a lil rough, and the exaust slick. Is this right?
