Plugging oil filter adaptor bypass...any cons?

mine is blocked(that is the bypass), i spent the money on a Titan pump! i have enuff invested in the motor that i didn't want to take a chance. good insurance, i dodn't have any problems either with the melling HV pump i ran last year.
