Re: Pics sbc intake converted to lt1 needed
There is a company now that has a lifter valley brace to strengthen that part of the block. The guy who invented the thing is a Mustang Racer who has to run a 302 stock block and I think he is doing like 600+rwhp in the thing and the block is still happy. That's a good 700-750hp at the flywheel! A lot more than that puppy normally handles. He also has a Chevy one but I didn't find out about it till the end of last year, you could have used that Kevin. BTW what RPM did it come apart? I know the HP level but it's all relative to the RPM.

I think it was 7900 rpm I lost my hard drive so all the info was lost. Yeah the valley brace might have helped but you never know I didn't have anything in the block so that couldn't have helped. The air/fuel ratio looked good from what I can recall, it just got up there and water everywhere, I was most mad about losing the big dollar lower end. Well on to bigger and better things.

yeah, i think it is "horsepowersales.net" or something very close to that!
in the new 5.0 magazine, they are bragging about spinning the stock block to 9200!
