I found this topic in LT-1 Tech and im not really getting any responces (probably because im "leaching" of the original topic )

Well long story short. I would like to make my own PC to ALDL cable (to save some money) and i was wondering if i could use the interface to do any programming with a program like LT_1Edit.

Edit: What about the 10K Ohm Resistor between A and B? will that be needed for my car?

If you can use it for diagnostics successfully you should be able to use it for programming.

From the looks of that article you would not need it.

But since we do have a Computer Diagnostics and Programming forum and neither your question or Mikael's question were posted there i think it would be appropriate to try in that forum, so i'll move this there.
