no distributor pulse...

Hello everyone, I finally have my 383 installed and running. The only problem I am experiencing is that the motor will not start on its own. The only way to get it started is by squirting a little fuel into the lt1 intake, after that it starts right away. We noticed that there is no power to the injectors when cranking, there is only power on the "key on" position. The distributor is not giving a pulse when cranking. There is also adequate fuel pressure when priming and cranking(and timing is bang on). I was told that something has to be by-passed...I do not remember what!!!
Any suggestions would be great!!Thanks in advance.

Maybe the VATS system? Have you disabled it in the PCM?

Yes, the vats has been disabled. The ninth injector has also been deleted. When we first installed the vette tpi into my camaro it ran really well, no problems. Now that we made it a 383 and put it back in, we are encountering this problem. I do remeber that when we first put the tpi in we had to bypass or the or ground the 9th injector harness, this was done 5 years ago so I cannot remember exactly what we did. has anyone come across something similar? Thanks.
