Also just an FYI, theres a company located in NC, called musclemotorsports..They buy used Cup parts check thenm out to make sure there useable and sell them..they sell complete motors (slightly detuned to roughly 700) and theyll live all day in stop and go...
Muscle is a cool place. I go up there every few weeks. They did the welding work on my fuel rails.

I wouldn't lie to you. This came directly from the dyno operator's mouth from one of the top teams here.
Of course those guys would never exaggerate. If he really talked the truth on dyno numbers he'd be unemployed... and unemployable by other teams.

The numbers you quoted indicate about 215 psi BMEP @ a 91-9200 power peak rpm. That's probably about 10 psi high.

OK, so what's the intake manifold vacuum for a plate engine at power peak rpm? Ask your dyno operator. I'm sure he knows.

What's done to your car? Looking at your sig, I remember seeing you at Mooresville a couple times. Good running car!

That's why I don't go deep into details. No names, no team, no car numbers, which I'm sure you know it's a short track.

No clue on the BMEP, although I don't think 215 is unheard of. What's so hard to understand. If the engine is making even NEAR 900 horsepower, it's gonna do 800+ to the tires.

Why are you quizing me on the manifold vacuum? I surely don't know, and I'm sure he does.

You and Bret may have seen this before, but I have to post it anyway!! I never knew valvesprings moved around like that. Hell, even the valve is deflecting!

Pretty interesting. Guess I have a short attention span but got the point pretty quick and bailed out when it said 10,000 rpm about half way through the video.

This ought to keep your attention a little longer. The spring ROTATES!!

And watch as the valve closes...you can see the rocker arm bounce a little.

UNreal that all this happens during operation.

I've been meaning to hunt you down and talk to you. What heads/cam?

I still can't believe what I'm seeing in those spring videos!
