Motor plates or solid engine mounts

Motor plates or solid engine mounts
Should place oure SC LT1 in a tube chassie car till next year, we have a engine plate beetween the engine and trans but it looks like it will be BIG trouble to fit a motor plate in the front beacuse of the headunit.
So the Qs
Is it any risks to run solid mounts using the 4 bolt holes ont each side of the block and down to the frame? (have herd storrys/romours about block cracking beacuse of solid mounts)
Or should i fabricate some type of poly mounts for it?
Planing to make a poly/rubber mount to the tranny.

Re: Motor plates or solid engine mounts
Not so detailed
The easiest way to install the engine would be widh a rear engine plate between trans and motor (bolted to chassie) and a plates thats bolted to the engine like in this pic.
Would this be OK or do i risk that the block brakes if i weld the front mounts to the framerails? or should i make some kind of poly mount to absorb vibrations?
