I've seen that, but someone said 263cc from Dave Hills mouth, that seems more like it to me.

Why would Chevy keep a inline valve arangement over the canted like the sb2? I would guess that would have helped in smaller bore arangements and at higher lifts.

If I'm not mistaken... wasn't the C5R head built around GM's C5R Corvette program?
It's a big bore block. So why would they be concerned with developing a head that might also perform well on a ~4.0 incher??

edit: And I'm getting old........ forgot to scan the pics of Smokey's old setup.
