Does anyone happen to have the valve timing for a stock LS1 cam?
The data I'm getting from several INET sources is claiming under 0.500" lift
and less than 210 degrees duration @ 0.050"
2001 - 2002 Fbody
197/207 int/exh @ 0.05" duration
0.467" / 0.479" int/exh lift
116 LSA
Seems very unlikely?
More than anything, I'd like to view the valve timing data.
Sort of in a hurry to get this info for a friend.
Thanks.

Re: LS1 Valve Timing
According to the Chris Endres book:
2001-2002 F-Body and Y-Body:
Part #: 12561721
196/207 .467/.479 116 LSA
The earlier years were 198/209 .500/.500 119.5 LSA

Re: LS1 Valve Timing
That's an incredibly short duration to make all of that power across
such a wide RPM spectrum.
I'd love to see the shape of the cam lobes. They must be pretty
much "square" on the nose.
As they say, there's no need to lift much higher than the strongest
point of head flow...as long as the valve can hang open long enough.
I'm guessing the 1.7 rocker ratio would be a minimum to maintain adequate
valve duration @ 0.300"+ valve lift.
Would you happen to have the valve timing (IVO, IVC, EVO, EVC)?
Those are the #'s I'm having difficulty finding.
Thanks again Fred.
