Long Rod 383 w/ a twist

I was flipping through one of the piston catalogs that we have at work and saw a piston made for a 350 block and 350 crank that used 6" oldsmobile rods. So I began to wonder, is it possible to use those 6 inch Olds rods in a 383 application? Possible rods from a 307? Has anyone heard of this being done before? With the C to C length being the same as chevrolet rods I don't see why these rods can't be used with a regular 6" rod piston.

The Olds rods were the orginal 6.0" rods, it's the same as any aftermarket 6" SBC rod really.

My friend built his first 302 with an olds rod back in 1988. Not to many know about the 6.0 olds rods( back then). A cheap way to get closer to that 1.81 rod ratio.

They will work easily, just have the small end resized for your pin.
