HP and Engine Theory

I know this in itself isn't an advanced thread, but I believe it would probably be best answered by those who primarily post in the Advanced Section. I'm interested in finding some books on engine theory and horsepower. I am an engineer so higher level math and physics isn't a problem. At any rate could you guys recommend a couple of titles on where I might start.

Thanks.

Re: HP and Engine Theory

Do you have MATLAB? I wrote a car acceleration simulation program that is VERY accurate and will explain a LOT of things.

Like would be a little strong, but I do have more experience with the applied theory in this area than I care to admit. I was a Navy Nuclear RO, (ET), before I finished my degree.
