How to tell if my POSI is bad......

I have a 12 bolt 3.31 rear and am going to switch it to a 4.10 here real shortly. I have the car up on jacks stands right now and a friend of mine the other day came by and was looking at the rear end and he said the POSI was bad.

I always thought that you could check the POSI by spinning one of the rear wheels in one direction and the wheel on the other side should spin in the opposite direction. or is that just strictly the differential?

by the way I haven't even taken off the rear end cover yet.

any thoughts?

if i'm not mistaken they should both spin the same direction... but yes thats how i remember it working. if the car runs back it up for a long way 30ft or so in gravel would be best then roll forward a bit and blip the gas if you leave two marks well only way i could think of that it could still be bad is if it hooks hard and slips from all the power.
