If you can find it they did make a super ram intake for the LT1. It would be ideal for a low RPM TQ motor.

Which according to Accel's 2005 Catalog they recently re-released it.

people seem to have covered the "how" to get want you want pretty well so far. as for where to start get the heads done first. make sure you get a good valve job etc etc, and let your head porter know what you're planning on like the other guys said a smaller port that flows well will work well. then get somebody to design a cam and valvetrain for you that matches the heads and the rpm range you want to work with. after that its pretty easy just set the compression to match up with the cam, and you'll be right where you want to be. about the forged pistons i'm with oldsstroker if you stick with a 355 and a relatively mild cam i dont see any problem with going back with hyper pistons, unless you plan on using the dope later.

On a 447 incher I did I gained 100+ RWHP with the change to a Vic Jr. from a ported TPI and only lost around 20 foot pounds of TQ down low. The really good aftermarket long runners might not be as bad as I think though?

Cheston

Pass that crack pipe my way as goobs of nitrous just helps the buzz.
