Fuel system

I have increased the HP of my car considerably. Now I want to make sure that my fuel delivery system is up to the task. I should eventually have a 430-450hp 355( at the crank) when its all said and done. What would be a good fuel pump for this Hp range? Now I will also have to increase the line size, that's not a problem, but what do you do about the lines comming out of the tank? Do companies make a pickup assembly that has a larger diam line in it. or do I have to make my own. I dont want to go to a fuel cell.

Thanks for any help.

Carb or injected? Recycle or dead-end fuel system? Regulator? System operating pressure?

What year car? What size are stock lines?

JEREMYHERMAN : How did you run your AN line to the fuel rails ?

Does anybody know of any company making fuel rails for the LT intake with AN fittings on them already ?

The car is a 81 Z Carburated, the stock lines I believe are 5/16, I have a mechanical pump on it currently not regulated or returned.
But I only have around 350 hp. I know with the electric pump I will have to regulate it. But will it need to be returned? Not a big deal if it does I could use the stock feed line as a return. Should I use 3/8 or 1/2 line for the new system? Aluminum, stainless or hose? And back to the original question what about the pick up lines in the top of the tank?

Since the original thread deals with a carb setup, you might want to start a new thread if you want to discuss how to do the plumbing on fuel rails. That's why I asked what setup he was running, because the answers are not the same in both cases. If you want I can "split" the thread, but in fairness to the original post, lets keep this one on "carb" fuel systems.

Thanks.

If its an electric pump a return line is a must with a regulator.
