Fuel Line Conversion Help!
Fuel Line Conversion Help!
Hello guys....
I am wanting to know all the PN's, or a write up, etc... on the following process..I am aware it can be expensive, and am willing to go that route.
I wanna know what all is needed to run Stainless Steel Line from pump, to fuel rails. I have filled in the engine bay seams, and existing hole for the fuel lines, an now I would like to hide them and route them to the back of the motor, instead of that ugly loop from the front!
I will need to know hose sizes, fittings needed, and fittings sizes, etc...
Feel free to email me, if you dont wanna post here at XxXTransAm2@aol.com or IM me on AIM @ MxRacer476...

Re: Fuel Line Conversion Help!
check out LJs page... its very informative
para.noid/~lj IIRC.
I did something very similar only i used braided all the way... i used a twin in tank from racetronix already converted for 8 feed -6 return.
It was very simple and my friend Jose Albertorio did the installation that looks 100% factory.

Re: Fuel Line Conversion Help!
Twin Bosch 205lph pumps, one in the tank, one outboard off a sump on the back of the tank. Pumps each have a -6AN line, connecting to an NOS "Y" fitting in front of the axle. -6AN to an SX billet filter in the stock location. -6AN line to the front of the car, up the firewall behind the engine. Another NOS "Y" fitting splitting to 2 -6AN lines, one into the back of each fuel rail. -6AN fitting from The Chassis Shop welded to the back of each rail. 1/4" NPT aluminum bung welded to the middle of the passenger fuel rail for a pressure sensor. -6AN fitting welded to the diagonal crossover pipe at the front of the rails. -6AN return line to a Weldon AFPR under the cowl. -6AN return line down the firewall, to the stock return port at the fuel tank.

Re: Fuel Line Conversion Help!
I just posted a bunch of pictures. It wasn't intended as a step-by-step. It was just showing one way to do it, that seems to work very well. I don't have a lot of the details, because most of the work was done by a shop in PA, while I was working in Italy and flying back and forth periodically.
