flywheel ????'s

i posted this in the LT1 tech, but i figure i may get the response here. i just aquired me a 383 LT1 for the Z. it was in an auto car, and mine is a manual. the 383 has a 2 piece main seal and my flywheel will not work with the crank. anybody know where i can get a flywheel for this?

You will need to get a flywheel from Centerforce. Part # 700100 if i remember correctly. Just go to their website, and match up the #'s with the LT1 flywheel to the one for the pre-1986 engine flywheels. It should be right around 300 bucks
Hope that helps
Chris

why is it a 2 peice rear main seal LT1? Seems kind of odd? what's the casting number on the block?

because it is a 2 piece stroker kit. the block is a correct LT1 block with the 327 cast and the lt1 front cover. it is in my friend's shop right now so i do not have the numbers.

the right part number was 700107 for the centerforce flywheel for an internally balanced 2 piece rear main and an lt1 clutch. summit had it in stock for around $350...
