BMR makes a tubular k-member for the swap. Complete with polyurethane mounts and mounting hardware.

Not to hijack your thread ta2, but... how much easier does that 4th gen BBC k-member ease the installation of a BBC into a 4th gen? Does it help solve some of those firewall/tranny tunnel issues? Does is allow some off-the-shelf headers to be used? If it does, then that would definitely be the way to go.

Mmmmm..... a 454 or 500+ CID BBC sounds good with a 4th gen

I think you would still need to make custom headers or modify an existing set.Im going SB because I can pull 700 hp out of this combo and use 1 7/8 over the counter Hedman hustler headers,Big blocks are heavy and make to much torque for what im trying to accomplish

Re: first gen in fourth gen

Awsome.... I was unaware that there were off the shelf headers available for this swap. I've been planning on a gen1 SBC swap also, but if there was a lot of fab work, especially with the headers, the the BBC swap was the route i would've taken.

700hp will be pretty easy with a 427 or 434 depending on what heads and intake you use. I want to go ***** to the wall and try to pick up some used 15* or SB2s.... or maybe even canted valve heads
