Dyno Q:

When you get your car dynoed what do they put in the computer? Like gears, tire size, stuff like that. cuz i got some numbers that just don't match up.

Re: Dyno Q:

I don't know if they actually put stuff in the computer or not. They didn't ask me what I had when I got dynoed. My numbers didn't match up either, about 30 HP less than I thought (I should be 130RWHP stock, but I got 122RWHP...way off). I'm pretty sure it's from my bad torque converter which is being worked on as we speak.

But when I got my printout at the front desk, he was asking the guy that was going up next what mods he has, so I'm confused. Maybe they didn't care about me because it was a mustang place.

Re: Dyno Q:

They ask you what mod's you have so they know what to put on the dyno sheet. A dynojet dyno gets everything it needs from the rollers and the spark plug pickup.

They are correct whether ya believe it or not. Get it DYNO tuned and see if there is more. Get it done by someone who knows what they are doing.

Re: Dyno Q:

I had it dynoed. and on the dyno they had a drag strip simulator on it.It said I crossed that line at 5900 rpm at 99 mph. But with my gears and tires and that rpm my mph is 107.07. It ran 13.2 with 1.7 60' but only 99 mph at the top end.But the math said other wise on the mph.

What was your rear tire pressure??????
That will make a big difference.
Was it tied down tight?
Were the tires spinning on the rollers?

Re: Dyno Q:

the tire pressure is 25 psi. (street tire) I don't know if it was tied tight. And it smoked the tires on the rollers through first gear.

Well there ya have it,if it was loose and less than 30PSI that's where your low numbers come from. Sometimes ya got to tell the operator that it is moving around and not depend on them.
