Question dragonslayer and ATI balancer ?

im at the last bit of finishing my stroker and i was wondering if anyone has had to hone there balancer as stated in ATI directions with aftermarket crankshafts. i was going to trust callies and ATI and just press it on . or am i making a mistake and need to mic it first. i measured with a dial caliper got slightly different measurements each time with that tool , but not far off. has anyone ran into a problem that i might forsee before i press it on. it has a steel hub. thanks for all your help.

Any time I have purchased a NEW balancer, I've always had to hone it to have it fit properly on the crank snout. I believe they recommend a .0015"-.0020" interference fit.

Often, if you CAREFULLY (so as not to damage the elastomer, concentrate just on the hub bore) use heat, the balancer will slip right on. Hwoever, you must use a liberal coat of anti-seize if you ever want to get it off! Also, use Loctite on the balancer bolt. It will help it from loosening and (paradoxically) keep it from seizing.
