digital dash issues with 87 gta/lt1 carbed

i am needing help figuring out some issues with a digital dash that at present the speedo is the only thing working properly.i wanted to replace the 305 that came in this car with a sbc 350 i had found.after installing the engine, removing the ecm and harness and putting in a fpr and a thermo switch to operate the fan,i discovered the carbed 350 had issues that required a rebuild.i lucked into an lt1 for cheap and got the gmpp intake for carb and the hei dist from the 350 and installed it.the engine runs great, but i have no oil pressure gauge(the only plug for the sender left with the harness)the temp gauge goes from cold to max hot a few seconds after i start it(i've tried three different sending units)the amp gauge sits at 8 and never moves.the tach moves very little and responds to brake pedal as well as accelerator.even the gas gauge doesnt work and i dont see an odometer anywhere.i have figured the first thing is to get the ecm back in and some of the wiring but i didnt want to put all of it back, just what was necessary for the dash and i figured since i was putting the ecm back in I'd run the trans wires to regain lock up and o.d.(700r4).the same thing was happening when it had the 350 in it,but with a rebuilt lt1 i would like to have the gauges working before i drive it much.i get a little overwhelmed when i look at this harness and try to figure out what to keep and what to cut.some of the gauges should work without the ecm reinstalled but for now they're not.HELP!
