cracked head.....repairable???????

cracked head.....repairable???????

I have a set of heads i just pulled off a car that has a cracked valve housing thing.....

if you look into the intake runner....and the cone looking thing that houses the valve is cracked....is that repairable at all you think?

With out looking at it, its hard to say....but im thinking it could be tigged then re machined.

Aluminum much easier repair than cast (in the right hands, of course). The aluminum has to be evenly heated and tigged, or spot tigged and allowed to cool. It's a little time consuming, but I've seen extremely good results...even on cast iron...
