Crack in bore
Crack in bore
Hi..
Pulled my heads today and I found a crack in No4 cylinder bore.
The crack is on the outside and is at the bottom of the cylinder....
(Motown block, 2000miles....)
Can it be repaired? or do I have to get another block?

Re: Crack in bore
Call world products and tell them their blocks are junk just like the rest of their stuff. Maybe they will send you a lollypop...
Not much you can do. World is not going to help you out.

Re: Crack in bore
Call the manufacturer and tell them about your problem. Ask them why they think it happened. If it wasn't bored past the maximum size they recommend and it wasn't on a huge shot of N2O, they might offer something. I wouldn't recommend being a pr*** about it, however.
The block isn't lost. You can sleeve it, but the's going to cost quite a bit. If you go that route, at least sonic test the other bores, and try to determine why #4 cracked.
FWIW, M-One seems to have a problem with World. I think it was because of bad personal experiences with their stuff.
