I pulled the valvesprings and installed a set of combination motorsports triples on it. Set the installed height on each valve individually. Still having the issue. I recently received my comp R's and now just have to find the time to replace em.

On the dyno I pull to 6200 then the car just won't pull... On the street, more in particular, at the track I can't even rev past 6k while in gear... Car ran a 8.4@91mph popping and banging after revving to 6k each time. Turned around and shifted at 5600.. Ran an 8.0@88... So once I can actually rev this thing out - it oughtta run pretty good.

BTW, since my last post I've swapped coils, and even bought new plug wires and an optispark. The lifters were the next to hardest thing to replace after the springs so I waited on them to try everything else.

MSD, and 2 good stockers. Neither made a difference. Though the MSD did seem to make my car feel less sluggish down low. Less chugging and such. Ah well.. I'm yanking off the rev kit monday or tuesday

I've got a very similar problem, tried everything I'm using a Crane HI-6s box though.

Breaks up 4,000rpm no matter how much boost or if your using stock ignition or crane stuff. Tried different optisparks too!

when you put the stock coil, make sure you use a wire brush and clean the coating it has (black) wheere the 2 small bolts at the mounting point are. i had a problem with it not getting contacting enough.

Here it is - comparing to another 230/236 cammed car. He chose the lower more popular lift, and went w/ a 112LSA.

On a side note, I put the new R lifters in today... Now I'm working out a few sensor issues. The car will start, but won't run unless I unplug the MAF.

I have an LT1 MAF sensor to sell, but it sounds like a spark plug wire to me .

What size injectors are you running (just curious)?

I'm getting a MAP sensor error, as well as running lean on the pass side.. When the car goes in to open loop, it dies .

Running 30lb injectors.

Finicky *** car! I pulled the MAP, sprayed it out w/ electrical cleaner - no one had any in stock ~ and swapped the O2's around. TADA! The car idles once again.. Albeit it was at 2k rpms and got up to a warm 200 degrees. Adjusted it back to 1k and all is a-ok. It easily revs past 6000 now .. These comp R's seemed to have done the trick. 1 question though - they're a little noisy, this is normal I assume? Got pro magnum rockers and they were a little noisy w/ the stockers, and you can hear these pretty good too. Well, w/ the hood up anyways.

Dyno.... Here I come

perhaps a bad o2 connection? funny things about working on your own car, when it seems you're having an issue you dont get, you actualy know more about the problem than anyone else. the thing that pisses me off is when i know im the only one that has to fix it.

glad to hear it's runnin again, hit up that dyno. how long has it been?
