Can i re-use a graphite style headgasket if the motor hasn't been fired up yet?

I have my heads torqed down and i wanted to take off the driver side again to install a TDC plate so i can accurately set my adjustable timing pointer...i didn't think about it before. A few people have told me the screw in ones aren't very accurate.

So could i take off the head and find TDC and re-use the gasket?

Thumbs up

Yes sir, you can do that at no harm to the gasket sealing.
