can this head be repaired?

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/283449/3

i got a set of heads off my buddy and he dropped a valve and it damaged the head as you can see in the last 3 pics. Is there anyway it can be repaired? Or is the head junk now? The other head is fine, the heads have some work done to them.

Yes they can be repaired, just go to a shop that does alluminum welding & they'll weld a big blowb on there which you can shape.

Re: can this head be repaired?

I've got a head in similar shape... Actually, much worse
I did find that mine was warped from the contact, so the head may be junk if you aren't able to take enough off the bottom to true it up. Even then i'm not sure if the intake seal or anything will suffer. I would have someone check to make sur eit's true before having any welding done.

I do have my other head left over if you would like to buy it. It's ported and stuff, so i'm not sure if you would be even interested.

Those are nice.
If you take it to most any shop they should beable to fix them.
I don't think any of them will tell you to use it as a boat anchor.
I have seen worse heads than that brought back to life.
