Ask Bret about the parts you need.

Ditto. Bret designed the cam and is the only one that can accurately tell you what parts are needed.

I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but a set of LS7 lifters can be had for an affordable price. If you're in there, mind as well get a little more insurance even w/ going to a .600 lift cam.

Bret will tell you everything you need to know...and I don't think he will recommend k-800 also the Ti retainers are not the best idea on a street engine

LS7 lifters fit in a LT1??? Those are solid roller lifters right?

Why are the titanium bad for street use anyways?

I'm pretty sure the LS7's drop right in...ask brett

The Ti stuff wears out real quick on a street app.

More than likely he can do a custom spring package he loves his behives....and the steel behive retainers are light anyway and last forever and a day

^ Yes, the LS7 Lifters will drop into an LT1. Roller HYD lifters. Visually identical to the stock LS1. Except the plunger retainers are slightly different (IIRC).

Also FWIW, We used them on my other friend's MS4 cam swap. (239/242 .649 .602 112lsa). THey work fine w/ that high lift cam.

Aren't the 918's good for .600 lift? They are supposed to be great for controlling valve float at HIGH rpm #'s... Also, The Pushrod Length Checker is worth it's weight in GOLD!

He's been out of town on business a few days. Due back by tomorrow. He'll catch up on emails soon. As others stated above, you'll want to query him as to what valvetrain bits to use.

Yeah between working on a few motors in the shop and the trip to NC I'm backed up. I'm trying to get time in there to do everything but a customer wants to win the NA class at the LSX shootout in October so we are scratching to get all the details ironed out with this motor. I've been slow with EVERYTHING lately.

Anyways....

"K-800 double springs w/ matching titanium retainers and locks (10*)

hardened pushrods w/ guideplates and Comp cams alumin. widebody 1.6 RR
SS Race-Flo Manley valves, intake & exhuast"

I big no no on the K800's

I can get you the beehives that I would run on that, what length are the valves?

Also unless you want bent pushrods don't run the hardened pieces. They will not hold up to one of my cams. I would actually run a steel 1.5-1.52 rocker with that as well, i'm also not very fond of aluminum rocker arms.

Can you explain that? Not trying to be a wiseass, just inquiring. I thought hardened PR's were the way to go?

VK, I hope you don't mind if I throw a Q in.. Not trying to jack.
