Question Built 4L60E....

I am hitting about 500 FWHP !!! My stock tranny with 100K went South on me. I was goning to have Ellis, 2FST4LV build it but that fell through. Anyone know any tranny builders that are reputable?

I can think of two. Chuck at FLP west of Chicago, and closer for you, Combination Motorsports in Las Vegas area.

I've been dealing with SRA Transmission www.sratrans.com in Portsmouth Rhode Island they do great work and test their trannys on a tranny dyno before they send them out

He built my tranny and just built a custom 4L60E for a buddy of mine who's making 830 at the crank

Good luck.

Ken, take a look at these links, lot of good parts, pull it and rebuild it yourself. Takes a few special tools, but they are cheap. I'm looking for a good core to rebuild with all new hard parts. Then I can sell my old one as a good usable trans. I've done quite a few glides and 400's, a 4l60 just has a few more parts.
If you don't want to do that, I know a gut in Everett/Seattle area that is very good, does a lot of nhra ss cars.

Talking Thanks!!!

Thanks for all the replies!

I ended up getting a Chuck built FLP 4L60E. Should be being shipped here shortly.

This is a used unit with 300 miles on it from a board member out of Illinois.

Thanks again all!!
