Building a BB 454
Single plane
Krucible
Dont look down on a single plane for a big block. yes you do give up some low end torque with the Single plane but a little less torque will help you launch and it come on hard on the top end.
Remember your playing in a totally different ball game with a big block. And If your building a N/A stroker of 500 to 600 hp you can easily over power your tires and suspension.
Hope this helps!!!!

Im not sure you understand what you were asking. What you are calling dynamic compression is figured by calculating the position of the piston in the bore when the intake valve closes and comparing that volume to the volume left above the piston at TDC.
The reason people look at this is to get a ballpark idea at what compression to use for their cam and application. For what you are doing you should probably not worry about that and just build your engine to have the compression recommended by the cam manufacturer when you figure out the rpm range you want to operate in and pick a cam to fit that range.

Heads
Krucible just got my heads in yesterday.
I chose the pro top line big block 360cc runner aluminum heads dressed and ready to go for 1500. And they look awesome they are clean and look as if they have already been cleaned and ported. Cant believe the price either hehehe.
Also got my short block together over the weekend so its coming along pretty good. Will put my heads and intake on this weekend and go to the dyno and see what happens.
Well Getting it in the car may take a while since I am working on a 6 liter LS stroker build too.
Also If you have any questions see Bret here he has helped me on numerous occasions. And if your doing this to learn Please take your time and Get that book I suggested and read it several times.

Awesome! You running oval port or rectangle? Let me know what your dyno results are, i'd be very interested.
In answer to your question, I will be doing this to learn, so I will definatly pick up that book you recommended.
