Build Check

Sorry about the long post but I wanted someone to check my work here before I order rods and pistons.

Block is in the shop, had to go to .035 over to clean it completely up. Block has 4 bolt splayed mains and was o-ringed by the previous owner. I've had it decked to 9.00. Crank I already have, haven't ordered rods and pistons yet because I wanted to wait on a block height from the machine shop. Went ahead and decked the block to 9.00 after it checked out.

Crank: Cola 4340 3.800 Stroke (GMPP Part)
Rods: Lunati 5.850
Pistons : Diamond Inverse Dome -12.00cc, 1.250 CH 4.035 Bore (OTS Pistons BTW).

Anyways works out by my calculations to be 11.65 SCR and 8.53 DCR using the following info, (cam is a fresh GM847 that I already have. Using the following info.
Bore: 4.035 (Comes out to a 389 BTW)
Stroke 3.800
Combustion Chamber 54.0cc
Head Gasket Thickness .040
Head Gasket Bore 4.125
Deck Height 0.0
Piston (Dish) 12.00cc

Cam Specs for DCR: 296/304 AD
112 LSA
107 Intake Lobe Centerline
Works out to a 75 adv intake closing angle, and a 2.687 dynamic stroke.

Edit: My builder says I have to run a copper gasket with the o-rings. I'm somewhat hesitant, but he assures me that he has assembled a number of non-leaking copper head gasket engines. I would be interested if anyone is running an o-ringed block with anything other than a copper gasket. Taking the o-rings out just isn't an option, too much would have to be taken out of the deck?

Numbers look good to me. Good luck with copper gaskets. The heads and deck gotta be absolutely flat, use head studs, and hope. I think it will seep though.

I really don't want to run copper gaskets either. I just haven't been able to find any way around them. I wonder if I could get away with it by taking the wire out and leaving the grooves in the block. Would this work as long as the groove was outside the fire ring of the gasket. I've also heard of people running composite gaskets over the o-ring but I would think that the wire might actually cut through the gasket material when it was compressed.
