Post this board

i posted in here about some pistons for a .060 over and .125 stroked 400 engine (which would make 426 cu in) and it got moved to the third gen board. this is a stroker engine and is very difficult to find pistons for. after being moved to third gen, which i had already posted on before, it got only one reply. i didnt appreciate this being this board is supposed to be for strokers and such so i am going to try this one more time. i want to know if anyone knows of any manufacturer that makes .060 over pistons for a 400sbc with a 3.875 stroke crank(stock is 3.75) and 6.0 rods. thanks in advance.

Wiseco, and JE both offer pistons for that stroke and rod combo, however the biggest off the shelf bore is 4.160. From what I saw you will need to have a custom piston made.
Hope this helps

i am sorry that i went against the policies and reposted this but i had already posted pretty much the same message in the third gen board and recieved no reply. a friend of who has been a member for quite a while told me to try the advanced board because it has more info on strokers and such, so i also posted it here, and it was moved to third gen within 24 hrs.

Quit looking for off the shelf ppistons and call the companies.
Most of them make custom pistons: Mahle, CP, BME, Weisco, Ross, Diamond, JE, Venolia, and so on, just to name a few.

Good luck
Dave

Duke,
No problem. Reason i moved it the first time was even though it has to do with strokers i didnt feel that it was that advanced. Just an FYI.

Like the others said best bet would to be just to call these companies and see what they have, or have custom ones made.

I'll say one thing...there are DEF a lot of strokers on this board...
P.S. I've had good luck with Ross pistons for my insane flights of fancy.
