Post batch fire injectors

I have a '93 T/A . Corect me if i am wrong, but in '93 the injectors are batch fired and everyone is talking about there 94-97 LT1's trying to get away from the opti wich gives them the pulse for the seq. injection, so in '93 is the injection triggered by the opti ? If it is could it be set up to run by a crank trigger? Or am I missing something totally?

Yes, the 93's use the Opti low res pulse to trigger the batch fire injectors. There is no other place for the stock ECM to get (pseudo) crank position info from.

The Electromotive Opti-Eliminator/SDI did exactly what you are suggesting... used a 60-tooth crank wheel for crank position, synthesized a low res pulse signal from the crank wheel to feed to the stock PCM, and used the stock PCM to send a signal to an E'motive 2-cyl/coil (lost spark) ignition controller.

The people who tried the O-E/SDI units on the sequential fire 94 and ups (me, and a few others) quickly reallized there was no guarantee the chip had correctly synchronized the low res pulse signal to the true crank/cam position. But in a 93, the E'motive setup will work just fine.

I know Ken Mook ("kmook") has my old E'motive, and may have decided not to use it.
