No dope...boost is king.

I saw Corky Bell set up a turbo Mustang for a 200 mph mag write-up. When it was all said and done, adding boost (which meant larger intercooler along with the boost) and underbody aerodynamics did the trick.

A little here or there on head porting is nothing compared to boost.

Hey......Just saying "Hi" guys. Ain't dead, just stressed to the max with my new business.

its all about how big of a unit you have if i had a thumper turbo no problem i could make more power with a turn of a ****. this blower is damn near maxed out i got another 70rwhp if i pulley down. IF you make lots of power with the motor alone you will make that much more with the blower or turbo. If you got a T88 on lt1 and your motor is only making 350 rwhp and my motor is making 500 rwhp i will make 150rwhp more then you on max boost.
Is it necessary that your motor makes good power in order to boost? no not really but if you want to make more power and youre limited to what you working with in my case i cannot Bolt up a bigger blower without paying out the A$$ i will bolt on a set of heads and an intake that flow much better, which will lower my boost level and will make more power and be somwhat easier on my engine.
