alright one last question

Does anyone know about how much horse power a callies Dragon slayer crank can take? Just curious

Pretty much all ya can put to it if it's the 4340 one.

I think I remember seeing somewhere that Callies likes to see a 750-800 limit on it.

We use them in our 1000hp blown marine engines.

Like LR said, just try and overpower one...I doubt you can.

Hp doesn't usually kill cranks that much but rpm and cyclic wear always will over time. You can use the dragonslayer a long long time in a drag car but in a high rpm endurance engine you'd look higher up in the Callies cataloque. We have put 1500hp plus through inexpensive Eagles without any failures so it's all in the tune and in the builder's knowledge and expertise. The dragonslayer crank from Callies is a great deal for ANY street car and many race cars.

one more question i have 5.850 large journal manely sports master rods in order to keep it a 396 i should order the same exact rod length only stronger correct? its a stupid question but i gotta ask because these rods have a 550 horsepower limit and also is th limits based on crank hp im assuming so thanks for the help
