94 V6-V8 conversion
Wondering what will need to be replaced so the LT1 is functional. Its my buddy's car, the little 3.4 isnt enough testosterone substitute. If ya'll could develop a list of what to replace, that'd be awesome.

I swapped mine 95 3.4 to 97 lt1 heres what it takes.

THESE ARE PRETTY MUCH WHAT IT TAKES TO GET IT IN AND RUNNING, YOUR BEST BET IS TO FIND AN LT1 OUT OF A 94 SO THAT IN CABIN WIRING WILL MATCH UP WITH THE UNDER HOOD HARNESS OF THE LT1. OTHER WISE YOU WILL BE SPENDING A COUPLE OF DAYS MATCHING UP THE 2 DIFFERENT HARNESSES. A GREAT SOURCE FOR WIRING DIAGRAMS AND CONNECTOR PINOUTS IS WWW.ALLDATADIY.COM

Thanks man, keep me informed! We found a site that has a lot of info on it too: www.tacreationsusa.com/3_4_3_8_v6_to_lt1.htm Do you agree with the statements made on that site? Oh did yours have the ASR/Traction control system?
TA CREATIONS HAS SOME GOOD INFO ON THE SWAP. MY CAR HAD ABS BUT NO TRACTION CONTROL, IF YOU USE AN LT1 THAT IS THE SAME YEAR AS THE CAR THEN THE ABS IS SIMPLY PLUG AND PLAY (YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO GET THE INOP LIGHT TURNED OFF BY A DEALER, iT WILL COME ON AFTER YOU BLEED THE LINES) OR JUST DO LIKE I DID AND GET RID OF THE ABS.
IN CASE YOU DONT KNOW THE BEST WAY TO PULL AND INSTALL THE ENGINE IS THROUGH THE BOTTOM. YOU CAN LEAVE ALL ACCESSORIES, HEADERS, ECT INSTALLED, SAVES A LOT OF WORK
I CAN PULL MY ENGINE AND TRANNY NOW IN LESS THAN 2 HRS.
