4-valve heads for GEN 1 smallblock.

I have heard it rumored that someone makes 4-valve heads for the GEN 1 smallblock? Where can I find these heads? Does anyone have information on these?

I have lots o' parts. Then again, I've had lots o' parts since 2000.

Bobby Simpson is the one to watch. He is a rich Texas oil man, so he is paving the way to success w/ 100 dolla bills.

And there is another guy out in cyberspace who I have communicated with. He is getting together a Dart alum. small block w/ Arao 32V heads and a Roots blower.

I found this link:

http://www.araoengineering.com/

They have 32-valve SBC1 heads. This may be rather remote, but has anyone ever seen these converted to reverse cooling? I'm thinking about it for my next setup. They have 18 degree heads that flow like 440cfm. Granted, you'd have to make your own sheet-metal intake manifold. But these heads should be able to make some wicked power on a 396 or even a 355.

did you even READ this thread?.........someone posted that link in the first reply.......and NO ONE has gotten those heads to run on a car yet.........they are not a direct bolt-on like the company advertises, they require a lot of other fabrication and labor.

plus, they are like $5k just for the heads.

youd be better off buying a set of bare 18deg heads from brodix (uses standard 23* valvetrain stuff), getting them converted to reverse flow, and have them fully ported. could probably be done for $3500ish, and wouldnt have to use any custom expensive valvetrain parts.

My apologies . . . my connection here is rather wacky. It clicked on the thread to see if anyone had responded to it, and the only post that came up was my own. Someone over on LS1tech posted up the same link, so I figured I'd post it up over here. When I posted it, the other posts were "revealed." Either my server of CZ28's is screwing up.

18* valvetrain components are by no means standard, but can be purchased. offset lifters, custom pistons, custom offset rocker arms and the works are still needed with 18* heads, but you can at least buy the stuff

brodix makes an 18* head that uses standard 23* valvetrain components........ http://www.brodix.com/2004_Catalog/11-12.pdf ....... you just need properly sized pushrods, and pistons.

you mean on top of the bare casting price right?

and whens that puppy gonna be runnin?

are you having custom headers made, because the bolt pattern doesnt seem to match our existing header pattern?

whats going to happen to that big gap under the manifold from the heads coming up further?
