ZZ4 lifters

My buddy is looking at a 89 IROC with a ZZ4 and a ZZ9 cam in it and needs new lifters. He doen't want anything fancy just OEM replacements. What is a good OEM replacement I know he wants Hydrolic roller lifters but thats the only requirement he wants.

Also he is having problems with it starting. The key looks a bit worn and it is one of the first years it had the chip in the key. The starter turns but doesn't engage. Is the starter dead or is it the chip in the key.

Thanks for your help. I'm not too schooled on those engines.

If the starter turns, then the key is fine. Sounds like the starter is the problem, then.

Re: ZZ4 lifters

Which one of those is a direct replacement for the ZZ4 engine?

Re: ZZ4 lifters

They're both the same. One is for a single lifter, the other is for 16.
