Wiring experts, help me out!

Re: Wiring experts, help me out!
I totally agree and normally dont like to do things like this, but I don't have the time or faciliteis right now to drop the rear end. I would use my bay at work but i have only been there for a few weeks and dont feel ready to ask the boss if i can bring the car in on the weekend or something. So I decided to just be careful and use my air metal cutter to slice right through like butter, nice and clean. Im gonna completely clean the edges, and coat them with a rust inhibator of some sort, and then seal it up with rivets, and a caulk around the edges. Somethign to that effect, and I'd like to go with compression fittings for the lines since I hacksawed through them.

You can also go with rubber hoses, just double clamp them, mine have been in for a couple of years with no leaks @ 50psi...I used an oversize piece of sheetmetal and caulked it heavily and screwed it down with short self-tapping screws.
(Walbro 255-Lph, got mine for about $80)

Oh for craps sake. I just replaced the fuel pump, started her up and its still got that bog under initial throttle. I guess it has to be the damn injectors. I'll check em this week by doing the pull up the fuel rail and hit the key and see if any leak. I was so sure it was a weak fuel pump with the way it acts. Oh well, It's not all for loss, since I did want to change the pump anyway regaurdless.

I had a bad EGR that didn't code but was sticking open. It was hard to start and had a bad hesitation on low speed take off.
You can check for a leaky EGR by removing the hose and pushing it up in its bore, then place your thumb over the hose fitting and release the valve. It should hold its position. If it falls back to the resting or closed position the diaphram is leaking.
Also, if you press it up in its bore and release it, it should move freely back to its resting position. If it studders or sticks on the way down, you'll need to remove it and clean it and its bore.
Just some more ideas...
