WIPERS: what's busted?

I'm going down a to-do list of things on the RS that I have to remedy for it to be 100% on the road for the summer.

One of these is to get the wipers to work. Here's the problem(s)...

1 - for a while now the variable capability has been non-existent
2 - low is now non-existent - new development
3 - now when I put it on high it just wiggles the blades within a 2" arc. The drive screw on the motor makes full revolutions, but the blade arms are only barely moving. I tried installing the piece that connects the arm assembly to the motor in both directions and the effect is the same.

So what needs replacing?

With all the rain we've had here in the past two weeks this is getting to be a critical problem. RainX isn't THAT great!

Check out your spline teeth. If they are good just go ahead and replace your wiper motor.

By the way, Chewy is dead and so is Anakin....But Jacen is becoming stronger than ever and I am hoping that Ben is the next Great Hope!!!

LOL

Do you mean the splines where the wiper arms attach to the gears at the base of the windshield? Yeah, they are fine. New motor it is!

As for Chewie........ come on, a moon? My girlfriend has read ALL of the books, and I mean ALL of them (that's how I keep up to date). She even writes Fan Fiction about the SW universe. I forgot the pen name, but I think she goes by K J Kofsuske or Skywalkerchild on a few sites. Not sure. I stopped reading the series a while back, the novels just have a bad taste. Characters go limp, no cohesion between writers..... and the underlying storylines have been pure crap.

Me? I hope the flannel man DOES decide to do episodes 7-9 and just blows all of these novels to dust because, although they are authorized to write their books, he does not recognize them as having anything at all to do with his universe.
