i have an 86 z28 w/ cruse control(however the cruse control was taken out but the blinker still has the settings)well n e way, my blinkers work and everything but the whole plastic blinker assembly on the left side of the steering column just comes off of the metal blinker lever.....my wipers used to work..and now mysteriously they stopped...there is a cable with about 5-6 very small gauge wires in it, but i was thinking that it was for the cruse control now i wouldnt have the slightest clue how to trouble shoot something like this...im not very good with the whole "electronic wiring of cars"...so any help would be great..thanks

 

On my 88 Chevy pickup, the wiper wires from the arm to the bottom of the steering column were broken or cut, so I had to run new wires from the arm to the bottom of the column.. take some jumper wires from the fuse box and touch them to the wiper wires and see if that fixes the problem.. For me it was just chaffing...
