383 finally in but......
Hello everyone, I finally have my 383 installed and running. The only problem I am experiencing is that the motor will not start on its own. The only way to get it started is by squirting a little fuel into the lt1 intake, after that it starts right away. We noticed that there is no power to the injectors when cranking, there is only power on the "key on" position. The distributor is not giving a pulse when cranking. There is also adequate fuel pressure when priming and cranking(and timing is bang on). I was told that something has to be by-passed...I do not remember what!!!
Any suggestions would be great!!Thanks in advance.

85-88 used a ninth, "cold start" injector, the LT1 rail has no provision for it
you need a 89 chip w/ VATS disabled(maybe the whole ECM? not sure)

I am using the whole harness and computer from the ex-tpi corvette engine, vats has been disable. Before I put the stoker kit in the car ran excellent, we did have to by-pass the ninth cold start injector, I am not 100% sure on that because it was five years ago when we did this.
