Will I EVER learn to quit...lol

When I hit my brakes, my buckleup seatbelt light comes on, my "headlight left on" warning sound constantly dings, my battery gauge drops to 0, and my tachometer freezes......oh yea, it still stalls....we definately fixed that fuel pump power problem. Someone just set my car on fire so I can collect insurance for it.

3 wires run behind run behind the 2nd row seats, they are the fuel pump right? Tan being power? So we put the key in "ready" position, and use a voltmeter, 12.98 volts, nice, I hit my brakes, 0volts. WTF, so we're like "okay, when we originally rerouted the pump power we tapped a bad line, lets switch it to something else"

So we tap into another line, a line i can only ASSUME is the gauge cluster line, it has power with key in ready position, it has power with my foot on the brake, it has power in any gear, it has power no matter what accessories i turn on/off. Good 12-13 volts power....however when I hit my brakes as I mentioned above, my seatbelt light turns on, my tach freezes, and my battery gauge drops to zero. oh yea, it still stalls. Gotta love electrical problems....any ideas? run a 12v power source with a manual switch off the battery directly to pump? is the tan line even the pump? we're going to put a mechanical pump on tomorrow if we can't get the electrical crap fixed....

i don't know why im still doing this, i should have quit a long time ago. oh wait, it's my daily driver...

Maybe check the wires to the brakelights, see if one is shorting out somewhere?

There are three wires running directly in the center of the two rear seats, one tan, tan is fuel pump , so says my chiltons manual.

That line was going from 12v to 0v when I hit the brakes. Now we took the fuel pump power line that ran to the computer, cut it, and tapping that line into 12v power. Since it was cutting out, we took that same line, and connected into the power supply for the starter/gauge cluster/ etc. The TPI harness has a separate mini-harness that powers wipers/headlights/starter/etc etc. So when the key is put in "ready" position, that harness powers up, and that is the only wiring in my engine bay, bare essentials to run mandatory power. For some goddamn reason when we tapped the tan fuel pump wire into that line when I hit the brakes all those above things go nuts. WTF, I mean, the brakes aren't tapped into ANYTHING right? Just lights, and if anything the power should be at 0 with foot off the brakes, and 12v when on to power the brakelights, not the opposite. I mean, do we have the right wire? Maybe there are two tan wires, and today went we "thought" we re-routed the fuel pump I actually screwed with a different thing. The fuel pump line is tan, and runs between the two rear seats, down under and comes along side the driver side seat where everything goes to the cannon plug.
