why were early third gens so much weaker then later third gens?
I don't think they saw the part in your original post: "its a 4 speed with a 350 so i know its not the stock engine, but it is carbed."
Anyway, like everyone else said, some head work or just new heads, a cam, headers, the basics, and tuning you'll be seeing some good numbers. Good luck man! Is the car in good shape? Body and all?

body is perfect, no rust, no bondo.
but i think it got sold...or the guy moved it.
i might just wait till spring and get an l98 and do a tranny swap...or maybe get an lt1...it would be simpler to get an lt1, but i like 3rd gen styling better.

and they're different. You always see a nice LT1 car but rarely a nice L98. As long as it's an F-body though!
