who wants to play name that sound

well anyone who can give me any insight it would be VERY apreciated

heres the facts: (then ill tell whats wrong)
my car has not been on the road since begining of summer so its only driven around the block a few minuits a week
its an 83 z28 lg4 carburated with the 700r4 automatic tranny
aright now that the backrounds out of the way ill try to ask my question the best i can

-i can see little droplets of tranny fluid forming on the rear of the transmission pan and it slowely leaks down
-when i first start it it makes a tapping noise comming from under the car
-when im stopped and the i give it healthy throttle it makes a sound for the first few seconds like the car is twisting (like a creaking sound)
-if i go over a bump it makes a clink sound around the rear (ching)
-random sounds are made at random times(thats my specific one)

my personal hypothesis is that the fluid is not coming from the pan gasket because i replaced it. it could be the seals or something
i dont know what the tapping is
the creaking i dont know either maybee drive shaft or something around there
i thought that the clink noize was the exhaust bouncing

anyone got any clues?

just a guess, but the tapping when you first start could be cracked flex plate in the tranny, could also here that same tapping while driving when it puts the flex plate under a load.

just replaced flex plate in our 4runner and that sounds just like what it was doing.

the noise you hear could be a bad converter

doubt it would expect pretty different symptoms from that.

my .2 cents are to check your u-joints they tend to click when they get loose

also check your cattalytic? converter as they often like to jump around...atleast i know mine did
