Where Can I Buy a Y- PIPE ????

ok, I had a stock y pipe on my car that was rigged up and welded to fit 3 inch headers and 3" exhaust. It is also crunched in the middle reducing it to nearly an inch. My friend had a brand new
2 1/2" y-pipe for an 83 camaro, it looked like it would fit fine. So i went to put it in and it turned out the space between the 2 headers wasn't wide enough. So I cut the pipe and got it to work for now. Its better than if was before. But i want to get it done right. I can't seem to find a y-pipe for my car anywhere. And I am not sure what size to get. should get a 3" or a 2 1/2" ?
thanks for reading, any help would be great!

ebay doesn't have any, only ones that come with headers, I already have headers though.
Thanks for the help though
I am probably going to get it custom made, which isn't what i really want to do but i think i have no choice.
but one last question... a 2 1/2" or a 3" y pipe?
thanks agian

hey I see your times have improved. that 97 mph trap speed supports a 13.8 time slip with traction. Where in jersey are you. Doug's street shop is in fairlawn. I highly recomend him for making a custom y-pipe. I would go with 2.5 into 3 for the cat.

Thanks for noticing my improvement, the work pays off.
right now I am spinning one wheel like crazy(bad limited slip)and i have 2.73 gears and 225 tires. I am looking for a 3.73 posi disc.
I have a 3 inch cat and 3 inch header opening. so i figured a 3 inch y pipe would be good, but I don't really know about how much back pressure you need. I am in Spotswood, I am just looking for a place that will do a good job. cause whatever was on the car looked like one big weld, it was all messed up. And i've been to other muffler shops and by what i see they can care less about how they do the work as long as there isn't a leak.
thanks

Well have no idea where the hell spotswood is but Doug at Dougs Street shop is an artist. He belong's on moster garage. He is by far the best in Jersey. The bad part is he is so good the usual wait is 2weeks for him. He is the only one at his shop why you ask, because he does'nt trust anybody else's work but himself. Total care and satisfaction is standard at his shop. To give an idea where is he is about 1 hour from e-town. All you need is a friend to follow you the night before to drop it off and then the same friend can drive you back to pick it up. We are talking factory lookin welds from this guy and factory lookin work. He can make what ever you want. Mandrel bends no problem he has the machine. If you go there ask to see his project car he is making for his daughter.
