Angry wheel locks

just bought an 88 iroc a little while back and it still has the original wheel locks on 3 of the 4 wheels and i searched the whole car to find no key to take them off! ive got 3 rims that i cant take off and because they are the factory ones i cant just pound on a socket because they are perfectly round and i have the number from the glove compartment but when i called the local dealer to get a new key for it they said they cannot look it up that way and i have the car in pieces so i cant take it to them besides its winter the car is put up for a while.. anyone have any suggestions on how to get them off.... i would like to get them off the proper way if possible. im hoping somebody has dealt with this before.

later,
Nick J

The easiest way would be to take it to a shop and have them remove the locks.

Or, for the same price, and a longer wait, you could buy them. Nearly every tool manufacturer sells special sockets you hammer on and remove the lug nuts easily.

Summit Racing sells them.

This place sells them:

another way is find a old socket & ratchet that you dont care about. put the socket on Pound the ratchet on to it. & it should come off fairly easy.

If you have the lock number on the ticket, you also have the Mfg name and address. I sent away for extra keys & locks to the Mfg not the dealer. Save yourself some problems.
