Post what's the trick to seating the tranny pump?

I am finishing up my tranny rebuild on a 700R4 and I am trying to install the pump but it doesn't seem to want to seat itself. It goes down to the seal and stops, Is there a trick to getting the pump to sit right??

The two teflon seals on the bottom of the stator support are getting hung up on the Reverse Input Housing. Get some vasoline or TransJel to temporarily "glue" them in place while you slide it down. If you force it, you will damage the teflon seals and burn up the revese clutches.
