What is this thing???

I was looking around the engine bay yesterday and I was looking down at the wires connecting to my fan because I was thinking about running a fan switch. I followed the wires towards the passenger side and at one point a few wires run up and go to a connecter that is just sitting on the side of the engine bay. It almost looks like the TPS connector except it just connects to a point on the side of the engine bay. What is this thing??

I don't think it is a fuse holder. It looks more like a connector that goes into a sensor.

Get us a pic of it, or at least unplug it and let us know how many/what size terminals are in it? That'll help determine what connector it is.
