I have a local shop rebuild my 4L60E and its on its way out.with the help of 1.63 60ft times. But I have a 700R4 I want to build up so the computer dont control the shifts. I dont have alot of money to get crazy just need to know where the money would be best spent. Thanks Sean

 

Im in the process of building up my 700r4 and i have put the following parts in it. Master overhaul kit with borg warner clutches ($125), Vette servos ($25), stiffer 1-2 accumulator spring ($10), hardened steel rings for the pump ($10), shift kit ($50). Also, if your 700r4 is an 86 or older model its a good chance that it has the old 7 vane pump which im told is junk! If it has the 7 vane pump then upgrade to a 10 vane pump.
